Book of Condolence Brother Kevin Crowley

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Ray McAdam has opened this online Book of Condolence:

It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Brother Kevin Crowley, Freeman of Dublin and one of our city’s most compassionate and selfless figures.

Brother Kevin’s lifelong service to the people of Dublin — especially through the Capuchin Day Centre — stands as a beacon of kindness, dignity and quiet strength. He met need with generosity, hardship with humanity, and always treated every person who came through the door as an equal.

Awarded the Freedom of the City in 2015, Brother Kevin exemplified the very best of Dublin — a city that cares, and a city that never turns its back on those most in need. His legacy is one of hope, decency, and love in action.

On behalf of the people of Dublin, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his Capuchin brothers, to the staff and volunteers at the Day Centre, and to all who knew and loved him.
