Help Shape the Future of Clongriffin & Belmayne

With significant residential growth underway, we want to ensure that future facilities and services meet local needs. This survey (10–15 minutes) asks for your views on priorities for:

A community gathering in a bright indoor space with several tables and chairs. People are seated in groups, engaging in conversation and activities. One person is playing an acoustic guitar while others listen and interact. The tables have books, papers, and small items, suggesting a social or creative event. Large windows in the background let in natural light

Civic and Community infrastructure (e.g. libraries, community, family resource and/or youth centres, co-working and incubation space, places of worship etc.)

These facilities provide spaces for people to connect, learn, and access essential services. They include libraries, community centres, family resource hubs, youth spaces, and places of worship. Modern needs also call for co-working and incubation spaces to support local enterprise and innovation. Such infrastructure fosters social inclusion, lifelong learning, and community resilience.

A live theatre performance taking place in a school or community hall. Two actors in period-style costumes are performing in front of an audience seated in rows. The audience consists of students in uniform watching attentively. The background features a green wall and a decorative tapestry hanging behind the performers

Arts and Cultural infrastructure (e.g. performance spaces, rehearsal space, visual/ creative/media studios / workspaces and makerspaces etc.)

Arts and culture enrich community life and support creativity. This includes performance and rehearsal spaces, visual arts studios, media and creative workspaces, and makerspaces for craft and design. These facilities enable cultural expression, events, and opportunities for artists, while promoting diversity and engagement across all age groups.

Sports and Recreation facilities (inc. swimming and leisure facilities, indoor courts studios and gyms, billard and snooker; lawn bowls, outdoor grass and multi-surface pitches and courts, tracks and trails etc.)

Sports and leisure spaces encourage health, wellbeing, and social interaction. Facilities may include swimming pools, gyms, indoor courts, studios, billiards, snooker, lawn bowls, and outdoor pitches for multiple sports. Tracks, trails, and multi-surface courts provide options for walking, running, and cycling, ensuring accessible recreation for all abilities.

Parks and Green space (e.g. urban neighbourhood parks, small or local parks, pocket parks, play parks (child and adult), gardens, open space, greenways, community gardens, allotments etc.)

Green spaces are vital for relaxation, play, and biodiversity. They range from large urban parks to pocket parks, play areas for children and adults, gardens, allotments, and greenways. These spaces offer opportunities for outdoor activity, community gardening, and nature engagement, improving quality of life and environmental sustainability.

The participants are spaced out across a wooden gym floor marked with red and white court lines, following the instructor at the front. Public Realm improvements (e.g. squares, plazas, bandstands, micro parks and planting, event spaces and public/civic art etc.)

Public realm enhancements create vibrant, welcoming outdoor spaces. Examples include squares, plazas, bandstands, micro parks, planting schemes, event spaces, and civic art installations. These improvements encourage social interaction, cultural events, and community pride, while making neighbourhoods more attractive and accessible for residents and visitors alike.
