Dublin City Council is is committed to making its websites accessible, in accordance with European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020.

This website is made up of:
- Software that is designed and controlled by GoVocal, for example the overall structure and the look and feel of the pages.
- Content that has been added by Dublin City Council, for example most of the information, including words, pictures and documents.
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 level AA, due to the non-compliances and the exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible content
Mapping
Maps on the platform partially meet accessibility standards. Map extent, zoom, and UI widgets can be controlled using a keyboard when viewing maps.
Maps in the platform are not fully accessible as they do not audibly present basemaps, map layers, or trends in the data to users utilizing screen readers. Fully accessible maps would need to audibly present the map layers and describe any relevant trends in the data.
Line and polygon map drawing in surveys is not accessible as shapes cannot be drawn using a keyboard.
For Ideation projects and proposals, there is an option to display inputs in a map view, which is not accessible. However, for these methods there is an alternative list view of inputs available, which is accessible.
User-generated content
Our digital engagement platforms facilitate user-generated content posted by individuals and organizations. It is possible that PDFs, images or other file types including multi-media are uploaded to the platform as attachments or added into text fields by platform users. These documents may not be fully accessible.
Compatibility with assistive technology
Screen reader bugs may occur with different browser/screen reader combinations. Bugs can be reported through the feedback process outlined below.
Search function
Screen reader users may experience difficulties when using the search function. The number of search results may not be reported consistently.

This accessibility statement applies to a demo website that is representative of this website; it uses the same source code and has the same functionality.
