Where will the works take place?
These works will take place on Edenmore Avenue and Edenmore Park.

What works will take place?
The works will consist of:
Rigid pencil bollards will be installed on footpaths outside and across the road from St. Monica’s IGS, on the corner of Edenmore Park and Edenmore Drive and along the southeastern end of Edenmore Park. These are depicted by pink dots on the drawing.
All vehicular entrances to remain unobstructed.

Semi-rigid pencil bollards will be installed in the carriageway on the eastern side of Edenmore Avenue and the southern side of Edenmore Park along the perimeter of St. Malachy’s BNS in the carriageway. These are depicted as dark blue dots on the design drawing.

School Zone road surface signs will be painted directly on roads to the east and west of St. Malachy’s BNS on Edenmore Park and to the west of St. Monica’s on Edenmore Avenue. These are to advise motorists they are in a School Zone and to drive accordingly.

School Ahead signs with flashing amber signals will be installed to the to the east and west of both schools on Kilkieran Road and south of both schools on Dunmanus Road. These will operate at school drop-off and collection times only.

In addition to the School Zone infrastructure, Edenmore Park has been identified as a location for a zebra crossing as part of the Dublin City Council’s 2026 – 2027 Zebra Crossing Project. This will be located outside St. Malachy’s BNS and is shown on the draft design.
