Dublin City Local Biodiversity Action Plan - Public Consultation

Your Voice. Our City. Our Nature.

Dublin City Council is in the process of preparing their next Local Biodiversity Action Plan.

The Local Biodiversity Action Plan will be informed by the five strategic objectives laid out in the National Biodiversity Action Plan 2023-2030:

  • Objective 1 - Adopt a Whole of Government, Whole of Society Approach to Biodiversity
  • Objective 2 - Meet Urgent Conservation and Restoration Needs
  • Objective 3 - Secure Nature’s Contribution to People
  • Objective 4 - Enhance the Evidence Base for Action on Biodiversity
  • Objective 5 - Strengthen Ireland’s Contribution to International Biodiversity Initiatives

Public Consultation

Now, the Biodiversity department is inviting individuals, groups and organisations from across the city to contribute ideas, experiences and feedback to help inform and shape the next plan. Feedback at this stage will inform the development of the Draft LBAP.

This will be published for review and further consultation mid-2027, with the final LBAP adopted by the end of the year.
